日本人サッカー選手の海外進出データによる実証研究

| Abstract | 本研究は、サッカー選手が海外進出後に成功しやすい時機をポジションの特性別に実証する。データは2008年から2015年に海外でプレーする、現役サッカー日本人選手20名の3年間のパネルデータを利用した。分析の結果、攻撃も守備もできるゼネラリストのミッドフィルダーは海外移籍後に活躍し、海外移籍年齢とポジションの特性との間には交互作用効果もあった。ゼネラリストであるミッドフィルダーはなるべく早く、スペシャリストである他のポジションはキャリアを積んでからの海外移籍が、その後の活躍に正の影響があった。スペシャリストとゼネラリストはチャンスをつかむタイミングが異なり、自身の特性から海外移籍時機を選択すべきことを実証した。 |

| This research investigates the timing of overseas transfer for high performance of footballers according to their trait. Data on 20 Japanese footballers' 3 years panel data after their first overseas transfer during 2008–2015 are used. We find that after transfer, a midfielder as a generalist with key attacking and defending roles performs positive impact on subsequent games. We also find an interaction effect between age of transfer timing and position trait. In summary, a midfielder as a generalist should opt for transfer as soon as possible, and the other positions as a specialist, after developing his career. This study demonstrates the significance of considering individual traits such as whether a footballer is a generalist or a specialist in deciding overseas transfer timings. | |
