ソーシャル・メディアを規制すべきか―技術哲学の視点から考える

| Abstract |
本稿ではソーシャル・メディアの社会課題を技術論の視点から考察する。そのため情報セキュリティシステムの具体的な構築法を論じることはしない。 技術論においては、技術は自己修正システムを持つという考えがある。この説によると、技術の進化によって生じた危機は、それを上回る技術の進歩によって是正される。 しかし、技術の進歩の過程で取り返しのつかない被害が出た場合はどうするのかについて述べていないという、致命的な欠陥がある。他方、社会が技術のあり方を決定できるとする社会構成主義という考え方がある。ソーシャル・メディアの課題も、この社会構成主義の考え方を取り入れることで、新たな方向を見出すことができるといえよう。 |

In the theory of technology, there is an idea that technology has a system for self-reparation. According to this theory, crises arisen from the advancement of technology will be corrected with a further advancement of technology. However, this theory has a fatal flaw that it does not explain how it works when irreparable damage occurred in the process of advancement of technology. Among philosophical theories of technology, there is an idea of social constructivism. It is a theory that society can determine the future of technology. We will be able to find a new direction for ethical issues related to social media by introducing this idea. The society must find a way to live with social media ahead of technology. |
